Jeb just sent me an email about a weird phenomenon he’s been noticing lately inside Google’s Gmail. He’s been repeatedly served up a lot of non-sense ads that all link to Google.com. Here’s the screenshot he sent to show me what’s going on:
Have Google’s ad serving algorithms blown a fuse? Is it a clever ploy by Google to generate more traffic to their homepage (as if they don’t have enough already)? Or is some generous benefactor kindly paying out of her pocket to send traffic to Google’s homepage from Jeb’s Gmail account?
